Vintage Chrome Hearts: The Horseshoe Edit
Chrome Hearts started in Los Angeles in 1988, and the horseshoe has been one of its signatures from the start. This week we pulled the vintage pieces that carry it: faded crewnecks, pocket tees and thermal zip ups that have softened the way only years of wear can manage.
Why vintage Chrome
New Chrome Hearts is sharp and heavy. Vintage Chrome is the same idea after it has lived a little. The prints fade, the cotton relaxes and every piece ends up a little different from the next one. That is what we look for when a piece comes into the archive.
What to look for
Start with the print. A faded horseshoe should look worn in, not worn out. Then check the hardware and the neck tag. Every piece we list is examined before it goes on the site, so the work is done before it reaches you.
The pieces from this story are below. Each one is a single piece, so when it is gone, it is gone.
